Commemorate September 11 with music and memories

Eleven is a concert for remembrance and reflection. Join Chicagoland’s finest cabaret and concert artists in reflection through music, stories, and personal memories of the 9/11 events on this 20th anniversary. The concert will honor those we lost and explore how America and our community moved on, but never forgot.

The Shrine of All Saints

Conceived by Carla Gordon with musical direction by Beckie Menzie. Starring Menzie and Cathy Glickman, Carla Gordon, David Edelfelt, Tom Michael, and Kevin Wood.

Once again, the Printers Row Lit Fest is here with all new programs and speakers.

Printers Row Lit Fest

The largest free outdoor literary showcase in the Midwest, the Lit Fest takes place in Chicago’s Printers Row with free programming for book lovers. Printers Row Lit Fest will be headlined by Colson Whitehead, author of The Underground Railroad and The Nickel Boys, who will discuss his new book, Harlem Shuffle.

Look for new, used, and original books; events with local and national bestselling authors; and special programming, including spoken word performances, writing workshops, and events for children and young adults.

Saturday, September 11 and Sunday, September 12

10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Oktoberfest Chicago

It’s only September, but Oktoberfest Chicago is in full swing!

Sponsored by the German Day Association, stop by for a taste of authentic German food like schnitzel, sauerbraten, and sausages of all kinds. Raise a stein to traditional German beer and listen to German folk bands. Bring the kids for carnival game fun.

Chicago in Tune

Chicago in Tune – House

As part of Chicago in Tune, this house music celebration features Sanitize Your Soul, a debut Gospel House Choir collaboration between Mark Hubbard and DJ Terry Hunter.

During the 2021 Year of Chicago Music, this new citywide festival celebrates music in the key of Chicago in place of the annual Gospel, Jazz, and Blues Festivals in Millennium Park.
