Website tracks what’s open in the Loop

July 26, 2020 – Though people are returning to the Loop, it may still be easier to list which businesses are open, rather than which are closed.

Chicago Loop Alliance is tracking on its website hotels, restaurants, retailers, tours, attractions, museums, and public spaces in the Loop that are open. The information includes general tips on how to enjoy downtown safely.

“Foot traffic and parking volumes are up by more than 30 percent since March’s stay-at-home order, so we know people are gradually returning to the Loop to work, shop, and visit attractions,” said CLA President/CEO Michael Edwards. “We want to make sure they know ahead of time what to expect.”
