The Spa at Trump again offering free day, corporate discount

September 4, 2008 – The Spa at Trump is again offering a free day and a corporate discount to Marina City residents.

Membership Director Caroline Rawlings says a “One Day Guest Visit” is available until September 29 at the health club on Wabash Avenue, along with a break from the normal enrollment fee of $2,000.

“When a group of six or more enroll from Marina City,” offers Rawlings, “we will extend our preferred corporate enrollment fee [of] $1,000." Monthly dues, she says, would still be $190.

During a similar promotion in July, the group rate was extended to any six residents regardless of whether they knew each other or were otherwise part of a formal group.

The Spa at Trump The 23,000 square foot facility on the 14th floor of Trump International Hotel and Tower opened in January. It includes 11 spa treatment rooms and a 16,000 square foot state-of-the-art health club. The facility is available only to members and guests of the hotel, and membership will be capped at 250.

The recent closing of Crunch fitness facility at Marina City has been a lucky break for the Trump facility. Rawlings says ten Marina City residents have joined so far. She declined to say how many total members they have, but based on known “member numbers” that have been assigned, they are at least 30 percent toward their membership goal.

Benefits offered by the Trump health club include complimentary overnight laundry service for workout clothing and an unlimited number of guest visits. Members also get a 60-minute session with a personal trainer.

The 339-room hotel takes up 14 floors of the 92-story tower. In April, Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago was named one of the world’s top 136 new hotels by Conde Nast Traveler. On Monday, the hotel unveiled 53 special guest rooms at The Spa at Trump.
