26-year-old Yasmeen Haleem was recording a video with a bride-to-be between Trump Tower and the Chicago River at about 6:45 p.m. when she says a man walked up to her, pushed her from behind, and took her camera and tripod. He and a second man then ran toward the west.

Haleem says the Canon video camera, worth more than $2,500, contained “invaluable” footage from a recent trip to Cleveland to cover a charity event.

Police have the serial number of the camera, in case it is pawned.

“I have prayers that I can at least get something back,” said Haleem on Monday.

During the hour she and her crew were at Trump Tower, Haleem says she did not see any security personnel until a local television station started to interview her about the robbery.

“Within five minutes, security came out.”

A photo released by CPD on Sunday shows one of the robbers wearing camouflage pants.

Police asked anyone with information to contact the Area Central Detective Division at 312-747-8380.
