Third suspect charged in Trump vandalism

Photo by Steven Dahlman February 20, 2014 – Chicago police on Wednesday charged a third suspect in an incident on Saturday that caused $700,000 damage at Trump International Hotel & Tower.

After one round of drinks, three men at the bar on the 16th floor of the hotel were refused service because they appeared to be intoxicated. At about 6:10 p.m., the men left the bar and entered a stairwell. On the sixth floor, one of the men allegedly activated an emergency valve that caused water to gush out at 250 gallons per minute for about ten minutes.

The water flooded two elevator shafts and damaged floors, walls, and ceilings.
