November 27, 2020 – After selling Asian and European antique furniture and artwork in River North for 27 years, The Golden Triangle is moving west.

The store says it is moving its 18,000 square foot workshop and design studio from Reid Murdoch Building to a refurbished warehouse on Grand Avenue in the West Town neighborhood northwest of the Loop. The new space will open next spring.

“With three decades behind us as dealers, we view the future with optimism and a sense of adventure,” said co-owner Douglas Van Tress. “The challenges of the past year have been difficult for so many of us. But we’ve also found it to be a very liberating time to innovate and connect with a rising generation of collectors and designers.”

They will keep “a retail presence” at the Clark Street location. Through January, The Golden Triangle is offering discounts – 60 percent off starting on November 30 and 70 percent off starting on January 2.
