New medical center in River North will treat non-emergencies

November 1, 2013 – Minor ailments and injuries suffered in River North will be treated at a new “immediate care center” announced on Friday.

Northwestern Medicine, part of Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group, opened the center at 635 North Dearborn Street, at the corner of Dearborn and Ontario Streets.

Licensed physicians and emergency medical technicians will treat issues such as flu, fever, colds, sinus infections, urinary tract infections, strains, sprains, poison ivy, animal and bug bites, rashes, and sunburns. Flu shots will also be available.

The center will be open each day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with no appointment needed.
