Transwestern Commercial Services named ‘Best Place to Work’

March 3, 2009 – Chicago Business magazine has named Transwestern Commercial Services the “Best Place to Work in Chicago.” Transwestern manages the commercial property at Marina City.

The ranking, that appeared Monday, is based on surveys conducted by Valtera Corporation of Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

Reporter Kevin McKeough spoke with John Marquardt, a vice-president in Transwestern’s tenant advisory group, who said employee development is “a big part of Transwestern’s allure.” He described how entry-level employees move up and brokers can shift their responsibilities.

Transwestern has 161 employees in Chicago and 1,500 worldwide. According to its web site, the commercial real estate services company has 59 lease listings in the Chicago area.
