Birdmen drop in on Transformers set

July 17, 2010 – (Left) Five wingsuit flyers – wearing special jumpsuits that create lift – have jumped from a helicopter and are opening their parachutes near Trump International Hotel & Tower. They all landed safely on a barge on the Chicago River Saturday morning and then did the stunt two more times. It was for Transformers 3, a movie being filmed on Michigan Avenue this weekend.

(Above) Actors Shia Labeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (in lower center frame, walking down stairs) film a scene Saturday morning near Michigan Avenue. Rehearsed and then shot several times, the scene appeared to show Shia, Rosie, and soldiers emerging from Lower Michigan Avenue and then climbing the stairs near Pioneer Court.
