July 15, 2010 – (Above) A Yellow Cab is the last northbound vehicle to drive onto the Michigan Avenue Bridge Thursday evening. At 7:57 p.m., workers started closing Michigan Avenue for filming of the next Transformers movie. The upper level of Michigan Avenue is closed from the bridge north to Ontario Street. The lower level will close Friday evening at 8 p.m., from Wacker Drive to Hubbard Street, and both levels will open Monday at 5 a.m.

At 8:05 p.m., an unmarked police car blocked the southbound lane right after a Ford Explorer SUV made it through. Filming will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., before moving slightly west to Wacker Drive next week.
