Sep. 25, 2025 – A proposed 56-story tower on Michigan Avenue will add 498 AMLI Residential units and 26,531 square feet of retail space.

Located on the northeast corner of Michigan & Erie, the site is owned by MARK Capital Management, previously known as Meyer Bergman, and will replace Nike’s former flagship store, Niketown.

The design by Chicago-based Solomon Cordwell Buenz focuses on sustainability, offering only 199 parking spaces while providing extensive bike storage and enhanced pedestrian access through landscaped areas, including preserved trees along Michigan Avenue.

Current zoning permits this larger structure. The Chicago Plan Commission will review the proposal and seek community feedback.
