Chicago theatre is a hotbed for exciting new work being produced all over the city.

29-Jan-22 – If you love to attend live theatre and save money at the same time, Chicago’s annual Theatre Week will definitely keep you in your seat.

Ranging from $15 to $30 per ticket, this annual celebration features value-priced tickets to musicals, improv, dramas, and other live entertainment.

The tenth annual event takes place February 17-27 and allows audience members to choose from over 100 shows that showcase the extraordinary range of theatrical offerings throughout Chicagoland. It is sponsored by the League of Chicago Theatres and Choose Chicago.

The Second City

Productions include West Side Story at The Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, Gem of the Ocean at Goodman Theatre, Women of Soul at Mercury Theatre Chicago, Together at Last (left) at The Second City, and many more.

Spirited Come From Away shows grace under pressure

This inspiring, award-winning show returns to Chicago February 22 through March 6 at Cadillac Palace Theatre. On September 11, 2001, all planes in the air were diverted to the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, which hosted some 7,000 stranded passengers. Giving new meaning to stepping up to the plate in a crisis, the villagers rallied with housing, food, clothing, and warmth, offering shelter to the shocked guests.

Moulin Rouge!

Get ready to be dazzled as Moulin Rouge! The Musical, winner of ten Tony Awards – including Best Musical – comes to town. Playing from March 19 through May 14 at James M.
