January 7, 2022 – Loop North offered a variety of topics to its readers in 2021, but it was stories about real estate and crime and safety that were read the most.

The top ten most-read stories of 2021 included three about a shortage of single-family homes and near-record low mortgage rates that were creating a volatile resale housing market on Chicago’s North Side.

Two crime and safety stories were about incidents at the condominium located at John Hancock Center. One was about a $125,000 settlement at a Gold Coast condo that ended a dispute over a $500 fine.
