TV stars are watching you
May 5, 2011 As construction has picked up at the Museum of Broadcast Communications, new windows on the Kinzie side are filled with portraits of television performers from Chicago. Seen below are Lee Phillip, a former talk show host and creator of soap operas, and comedian Jack Benny. In other windows are Clayton Moore, in character as The Lone Ranger, Edgar Bergen & Charlie McCarthy, Hugh Downs, Steve Allen, Bob Newhart, Siskel & Ebert, and Don Cornelius.
A new sidewalk on the State Street side opened to foot traffic on Thursday. (Click on images to view larger versions.)
