A star is born, wearing lavender

Photo by Cesar Russ January 4, 2011 – (Left) Downtown celebrity Vincent Falk is caught mid-wave in an image on display currently in the Marina City showroom of Chicago photographer Cesar Russ. (Click on image to view larger version.)

Russ has been renting the former meeting room of the condo association at Marina City since last July. He also has a gallery in The Shops of North Bridge on Michigan Avenue.

“I had seen Vincent cheering the boats on that bridge in summer,” recalls Russ, “but on the tenth of October the reflection of the sun in the building at the front made something magical of that scene. That’s the moment I took the decision to capture the essence of Vincent right in front of Marina City.”
