July 29, 2013 – Chicago police on Monday warned businesses on the Near North Side about recent early-morning burglaries on and near Michigan Avenue.

On July 22 and again on Sunday, at least two unknown male suspects, each wearing dark pants and a black hooded sweatshirt, smashed retail storefront windows and took items on display.

The first incident happened on July 22 at about 5:25 a.m. in the 600 block of North Michigan Avenue. The second incident was on July 28 at about 7:25 a.m. about nine blocks north near East Oak Street. The stores were closed at those times.

Police say the suspects left through the broken windows. Area Central detectives are investigating.
