Hotel Sax opens hi–tech entertainment lounge

January 16, 2008 – Hotel Sax has announced a new entertainment lounge packed with high-end laptop computers, Microsoft Zune MP3 players, Xbox gaming consoles, HD television screens, surround sound, movies, and other toys.

“The Studio – experience by Microsoft” is part of a recent $25 million renovation. It is located on the sixth floor and accessible only to hotel guests.

The lounge showcases the best in entertainment technologies, according to a news release on Wednesday. Guests are offered “a private oasis where [they] can play Xbox games, connect with other gamers around the world via the Xbox Live service, work in a social setting, download and listen to music from the hotel’s music library via Microsoft’s Zune music player or kick back and watch HDTV content and select movies in the home theater environment managed by Windows Media Center technology.”

Hotel Sax worked with Microsoft to develop the lounge. General Manager Mario Mazzini says, “We hope to grow our relationship with Microsoft and continue to surprise our guests with these types of unexpected luxury and technological amenities.”
