January 31, 2015 $4.96 million will be spent renovating guest rooms at Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile.
The Michigan Avenue hotel will renovate 140 rooms including two that were recently created and hallways on floors 42-46, according to a permit issued by the Department of Buildings on January 21.
James McHugh Construction Company is the general contractor. The architect is Tomoo T. Fujikawa, a principal of the Chicago firm, Fujikawa Johnson Gobel Architects, Inc.
A spokesperson for Marriott and the hotels general manager both declined to comment.
