Victim knocked unconscious in late-night street robbery

November 4, 2012 – Chicago police are not releasing many details about a strong-arm robbery in October that left the victim unconscious on the street outside Marina City.

At about 3:30 a.m. on October 21 in the 300 block of North State Street, an unidentified victim was seriously injured and knocked unconscious by two offenders using their fists. Taken in the robbery, according to a heavily redacted police report, were an Apple iPhone worth $400, clothing worth $60, and $100 in cash.

The victim did not speak with police until 4:45 p.m. that afternoon. No description of the suspects was released.
