May 19, 2014 – Identification and bankcards were lost but there were no injuries during an armed robbery on North State Street late last month.

At about 10:30 p.m. on April 30, according to the Chicago Police Department, two black men near State and Lake approached the victim, who lives south of downtown in the Grand Crossing community. One of the men displayed a blue steel handgun and told the victim to “take everything out of your pockets.”

When the victim took out his wallet, the second man grabbed it. They both fled west on Lake Street.

Both suspects are in their mid-20s. One is described as five feet ten inches tall and 195 pounds; the other is five feet eight inches tall and 160 pounds.
