Armed robberies near State Street in broad daylight
October 5, 2016 Chicago police report an armed robbery last Friday in the 300 block of North State Street in River North happened at about 7:30 a.m. A young man approached a victim on the street next to Marina City, displayed a handgun, and demanded personal property.
Another incident happened near State & Hubbard last Thursday at about 11:00 a.m. The same man is suspected in a robbery in the 100 block of West Chestnut Street on September 23 at about 5:00 p.m.
The robber is described as black, 15-20 years old, about 56, 150 pounds, dark complexion. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and jeans. Police say the man should be considered armed and dangerous.
