Police warn of women who befriend, then rob

August 13, 2013 – Chicago police are warning Near North residents about two women who “befriend and then rob” lone male victims.

Three incidents happened in River North in the past month, according to police, most recently on August 11 near Michigan Avenue and Erie Street. It happened on August 2 near Clark and Kinzie Streets and on July 26 near Kinzie and Kingsbury Streets. All three incidents occurred between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m.

The women are described as African-American, 20 to 25 years old, five-feet-four-inches to five-feet-nine-inches tall, weighing 100 to 130 pounds.

Police issued a community alert on Tuesday.
