City officials to speak at River North meeting

December 31, 2009 – 42nd Ward Alderman Brendan Reilly will update River North residents on neighborhood development at a meeting on January 5 of the River North Residents’ Association.

Brendan Reilly The Quarterly Reception and Community Meeting will also feature Tom Gray of the Mayor’s Office of Special Events. He and Reilly (left), according to an RNRA invitation, will “provide updates on local development, parks, infrastructure, public safety and the lineup of 2010 programs and events planned for River North and Chicago.”

The meeting, free and open to the public, will be held at Sullivan’s Steakhouse. An hour-long “networking reception” with refreshments will start at 6:00 p.m., followed by the community meeting from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Established in 1997, the RNRA “works with city officials, local businesses and other stakeholders to protect and improve the quality of life” in River North.
