River North association to hold annual meeting at Hotel Sax

May 23, 2009 – 42nd Ward Alderman Brendan Reilly and 18th District Police Commander Steve Georgas will speak at the annual meeting of the River North Residents Association in June. The meeting will be held at Hotel Sax at Marina City.

Chicago Police Department Commander Steve Georgas (left) joined the Chicago Police Department in 1991. His previous experience includes Commanding Officer of a U.S. Marine Corps helicopter unit. The 18th police district includes the Near North Side of downtown Chicago.

RNRA leaders, according to a news release, “will present updates on development, public safety, infrastructure, park improvements, and hospitality issues. A special guest will address the Chicago Climate Action Plan and what we can do to help.”

The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. on June 23 in the hotel’s Crimson Lounge.

Established in 1997, the River North Residents Association works “to help protect and enhance the quality of life in our spectacular neighborhood.”
