23-Dec-17 – A guest at The Ritz-Carlton says he was robbed by two women who knocked on his door at the Gold Coast hotel.

A man told Chicago police the women covered his door’s peephole when they knocked around 9:30 p.m. on December 19. He opened the door, thinking it was room service, and was confronted by the women, who he says forced him to go an ATM in the hotel’s lobby.

There, they were joined by two men who implied they were armed and got the victim to withdraw money from the ATM.

The 434-room Ritz-Carlton is located one block east of Michigan Avenue in the Water Tower Place development that includes a shopping mall and luxury condominium.
