April 30, 2013 – Official results of Monday’s condo board election at Marina City confirm that all seven “Clean Slate” candidates – and only those candidates – won two-year terms. The results also show there was a heavy turnout of voters.

According to the CPA firm Picker & Associates, LLC, Nik Rokop received the most votes, 44.01 percent, followed by Laura Holman (43.94), Ellen Chessick (43.57), Pranav Seth (43.54), Dr. Michel Louvain (43.40), Nicol Chervenak (43.37), and Brett Young (42.97).

Of the losing candidates, former MTCA president Donna Leonard received the most votes, 21.98 percent, followed by Jackie Berry (20.26), James Abraham (18.96), Gautier Laude (18.87), Valerie Wenzel (18.27), Phyllis Hartford (18.16), and Peter Desch (17.16).

Besides Leonard, Desch, Hartford, and Laude also lost their seats on the condo board. Current MTCA secretary Chessick and treasurer Louvain won re-election.

64.63 percent of unit owners voted in the election, about twice as many as in any recent condo board election at Marina City.
