April 20, 2012 – (Above) Police Scuba divers transfer to a Wendella water taxi a man who jumped from the Clark Street Bridge Friday morning into the main branch of the Chicago River. Witnesses say shortly after 10 a.m., a man in his 20s was sitting on the railing of the bridge on the east side, then suddenly dropped into the river. Fire department medics performed CPR after divers pulled the man from the water. He was taken by ambulance in serious-to-critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. (Photo by Anita Lambert.
