Red Line Robber...again

FBI

August 6, 2009 – The serial bank robber who hit the Chase branch at Marina City twice has a ninth robbery on his resume. This time, it was about three blocks away, at a branch of Chicago Community Bank near Wabash Avenue and Lake Street.

No one was injured in the robbery, which happened on Wednesday. The FBI released all of two sentences on the incident, and to save time bundled it with a robbery committed by a separate serial robber the same day.

The Red Line Robber is a black male, 30 to 35 years old, 6’2” to 6’4” tall, 210 to 220 pounds, beard, medium-dark complexion. He wears a black “Bomber” jacket with gold zipper, sometimes a blue windbreaker – always a handgun. He has tan construction boots or white gym shoes, large dark sunglasses. He uses plastic bags to carry the money.

He is considered armed and dangerous. There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
