May 31, 2011 – (Above) Professional Bowlers Association Player of the Year Mika Koivuniemi reacts to a strike Tuesday afternoon at Marina City’s 10pin Bowling Lounge. 20 of the world’s best bowlers are competing in the GEICO PBA Team Shootout, the first PBA tour event in Chicago since 1963. 10pin appeared at least half full of spectators, bowlers, PBA officials, and a TV crew. ESPN is videotaping the entire competition for broadcasts starting on June 25. The shootout, open to the public and free, continues today until about 10 p.m. and tomorrow, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
