De Laurentiis produces pasta for Michigan Avenue crowd

October 22, 2010 – (Above) Emmy award-winning chef and Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis looks for inspiration for a pasta salad she made for fans on Michigan Avenue Friday afternoon. (Click on image to view larger version.)

Giada, the granddaughter of film producer Dino De Laurentiis, answered questions and signed her new cookbook, Giada At Home. The appearance was organized by Target to promote the arrival of fresh groceries at its Chicago stores.

The sign at left reads, “Giada for Mayor – Pasta for everyone!”
