The eastbound lane of Wacker Drive will be shut down on June 11 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. for the hotel’s “Happiest Hour Block Party.”

All 160 Renaissance hotels around the world will host events that day in celebration of their fourth annual Global Day of Discovery aimed at helping guests and locals “experience new discoveries within the city.”

The 520-room, 40-suite Chicago hotel, branded as a Marriott, recently completed a $27 million renovation of its lobby and guestrooms.

Performing live, outdoor concerts at the block party besides Thicke will be R&B artist Natalie La Rose and Chicago rapper HXLT.

Robin Thicke’s 2013 album, Blurred Lines, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 but he may be best known as the son of Canadian actor and talk show host Alan Thicke.
