Jun. 17, 2025 – A first glimpse shows an ambitious expansion planned for 360 Chicago at John Hancock Center, following the closure of the Signature Room in 2023.

Magnicity, the new owner, plans to transform the observation area and former restaurant space into the city’s first multi-story observation deck, spanning floors 94 to 96. The three levels will be connected by a large atrium on the north side of the building.

The design by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill includes a 14,000-square-foot event space on the 96th floor.

Construction is expected to begin soon and last 18 to 24 months.
