Abell, Colley lead official MTCA election results

May 1, 2008 – Official results of the April 28 election show all ten candidates were elected to the Marina Towers Condominium Association board of directors. With ten candidates and ten board positions, the only mystery was who would win regular two-year terms and which two candidates would serve out the remaining year for two board members who did not finish their two-year terms.

Incumbents Robert Abell and Albert S. Colley Jr. received the most votes, followed by new board member Donald J. O’Malley. Receiving the least votes, and therefor serving only one-year terms, were Harold G. Bellamy and Phyllis M. Hartford. Bellamy was elected in November 2007 to fill the board vacancy created when Berry Stevens resigned in October 2007. Stevens died in February 2008. Edwena P. Monago resigned from the board shortly after she was elected last year.

With 38.97% of unit owners voting, and owners allowed to vote for multiple candidates, the CPA firm of Picker and Associates has submitted these results:

Robert Abell35.45%
