Each band had six minutes to perform. It was only Marina City’s second concert. The first was a sold-out show on March 31 at House of Blues (above).

Lead singer Ryan Alan told The Columbia Chronicle they would use the $1,500 prize to buy a trailer so they can play more shows.

“The opportunities we’ve gotten so far are just incredible,” Alan told The Chronicle.

Winning first place was a blues and soul band, Otis.
