On tour of city, CDOT mannequins visit State Street

Photo by Steven Dahlman December 10, 2011 – (Left) Two of four mannequins on the pedestrian island in the middle of State Street on Saturday. The mannequins are part of a safety campaign by the Chicago Department of Transportation and Chicago police. Each mannequin represents one of 32 pedestrians that were struck and killed last year in Chicago.

They first showed up on Wacker Drive on October 25 but were gone the following week, moved to CTA stations and then other locations throughout the city.
