LaSalle CFO to step down

September 30, 2010 – The chief financial officer of the real estate investment trust that owns Marina City’s Hotel Sax is leaving. Hans S. Weger has been with LaSalle Hotel Properties for 12 years. His last day will be no later than the last day of February. According to a news release on Monday, Weger is “interested in pursuing new opportunities and challenges.”

Weger was a vice president, secretary, and treasurer of the publicly traded company. There has been no word yet about who will replace him.

According to Forbes.com, Weger, age 45, is responsible for all financial, accounting, human resources, and information technology activities for the Maryland-based company. He has an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and before starting with LaSalle in 1998, worked for La Quinta Inns and Harrah’s Entertainment.

His total compensation last year was $1.4 million.
