Sandra Lapping: Long-time resident and board member

July 7, 2008 – MTCA board member Sandra Lapping has died, a friend of the family has confirmed.

Lapping was 68 years old. She had been a resident of Marina City for 27 years and owned a unit in the west tower for 23 years. In the April election, she received 34.69 percent of votes. She was on the election committee and had also served on the Building & Grounds, Management & Attorney Review, and Social committees.

An accountant, Lapping worked for Circuit Court of Cook County for 40 years, most of that time as Chief Accountant. She was a graduate of Roosevelt University.

She died of natural causes July 3 at her residence.
