December 24, 2017 A gun discharged at a River North hotel early Sunday morning, resulting in no injuries but charges filed against 12 people.
Police say a shot fired in a room on the ninth floor of Homewood Suites penetrated several walls inside the hotel.
The gun went off in a ninth-floor guest room rented by 24-year-old Terraniqua Snow, who lives west of the Loop in the 4100 block of West Gladys Avenue. Police say she was hosting a party attended by several guests including two teenage boys who did not have permission to be on the premises.
When they arrived at the hotel at about 4:37 a.m., officers found three guns. They also found a bullet lodged in a wall inside the room.
Snow was charged with reckless conduct and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Nine others, all between the ages of 18 and 23, were charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Two men, ages 16 and 17, were charged with criminal trespass.
The adults charged will be in court on February 20.
