Art Institute lecture will examine Goldberg archive

April 28, 2010 – The Bertrand Goldberg Archive, a collection of images and articles that document the works of the Marina City architect, will be examined in an hour-long lecture on Saturday by the dean of the School of Architecture at Rice University.

Sarah Whiting Sarah Whiting (left) was recently a faculty member, as well, at the Princeton University School of Architecture. A native of Evanston, Illinois, she has published dozens of articles on urban and architectural theory.

Donated by Goldberg’s children – Lisa, Nan, and Geoffrey – the archive is maintained by the Ryerson and Burnham Libraries, part of the Art Institute of Chicago, along with the Institute’s Department of Architecture and Design, which is organizing an exhibition for next year.

  • Cost: $18 for adult non-members to get into the museum, but the lecture is then free
