Serving the Loop and Near North neighborhoods of downtown Chicago
Photo: Go, do good

Photo by Steven Dahlman June 6, 2011 – From Wacker Drive to Congress Street, these bright yellow banners with big black letters have been draped over State Street since May 24. They were put there by Chicago Loop Alliance and United Way of Metropolitan Chicago to promote education and encourage us to do good deeds.

A larger, six-story version, designed by artist Kay Rosen, is on the Stevens Building at 17 North State Street.

While there is no deadline for the good deeds, the signs will only be up until September. (Click on image to view larger version.)
