Police warn of break-ins to vehicles in River North parking garages

February 23, 2016 – Chicago police alerted downtown parking garages on Monday about incidents of criminal damage and theft from vehicles in late January and early February.

In each incident, someone broke a window and stole property from the vehicle. The incidents all happened early in the morning.

On January 25, break-ins were reported on East Ontario Street between State Street and Rush Street and five blocks south on West Kinzie Street between Clark Street and State Street.

Also, North Rush Street between Chicago Avenue and Huron Street on February 7 and February 19. And February 9 on West Chestnut Street between State Street and Clark Street.
