Forbes gives Trump all five stars for hotel, restaurant

Photo by Steven Dahlman February 27, 2013 – Forbes Travel Guide – you may remember them as Mobil Travel Guide – has handed out stars for the year and Trump International Hotel & Tower in River North is one of 76 hotels worldwide receiving all five stars. Trump’s restaurant, Sixteen, also got a five-star award, while The Spa at Trump received four stars.

General manager T. Colm O’Callaghan told the Forbes travel blog Startle that the Trump strategy is to continually “fine-tune what we do.”

“Everybody who works here is very sensitive to the experience of our guests,” said O’Callaghan. “We look for ways, both small and large, that we can impact that guest experience. I think that’s been a defining trait of the team on this property.”

Last year, both the hotel and the restaurant at Trump received four-star awards from Forbes.

According to Forbes, the travel guide uses a “team of incognito inspectors” who has been checking into hotels, dining at restaurants, and experiencing spa treatments since 1958.
