Apparently, we look like food

October 12, 2010 – Marina City’s corncob shape has put it at the top of a Seattle newspaper’s list of “Top Seven Buildings That Look Like Food.”

“All that’s missing is a huge pat of butter on these concrete, corncob-shaped residential towers,” writes Seattle Weekly food reporter Julien Perry. “Each ear is 65 stories, and while not the most famous building in Chicago, Marina City is one of the most photographed. You could definitely say it has a lot of stalkers.”

Other buildings on the list include Tacoma’s Museum of Glass, Albion House and Can of Ham Tower in the U.K., 2 Columbus Circle in New York and Miami’s COR Tower.
