Marina City stars in Fonda family photo

Jane Fonda July 31, 2012 – We like to encourage visitors to Chicago to photograph Marina City and now and then someone captures an amazing portrait.

We appreciate the effort but this is not one of them. We hope the woman who took this photo has something to fall back on artistically besides photography – like acting or writing or political activism or being a fitness guru.

Jane Fonda took this photo in June during a visit to Chicago to see her grandchildren and son, actor Troy Garity, who plays Sam Miller on the Starz original series Boss. She stayed at the Park Hyatt Chicago, toured Michigan Avenue, ate at Lou Malnati’s and The Purple Pig, and took a Wendella architecture tour.

(Right) Another photo on which Fonda’s name is proudly stamped, this view looking west on the main branch of the Chicago River, toward Trump Tower and Marina City. Jane Fonda
