March 17, 2015 – One of two pilots being shot in Chicago this week and next was filmed in River North on Monday.

A crew for 20th Century Fox Television took less than a day to film on the 18th floor of Marina City’s east tower parking ramp.

The filming was for a pilot for a possible new show called Runner. The drama is about arm dealers.

A woman learns her husband is “not the person she believed him to be,” reads a plot summary written by Fox Television. “Faced with the harsh reality that her life is forever changed, she goes on a truth seeking journey that entrenches her in a US/Mexican war over weapons and terrorism.”

It stars Paula Patton and Adam Rodriguez. The executive producer is Peter Horton, who starred in Thirtysomething, a television series that ran from 1987 to 1991, and appeared most recently in CSI: NY.

Runner will continue filming in Chicago for the next two weeks. The other television pilot that started filming in Chicago on Monday is Love is a Four Letter Word, for consideration by NBC.
