February 1, 2013 – North State Street will be closed for traffic but ready for its close-up on Tuesday as filming for the television show Chicago Fire depicts a traffic accident near the State Street Bridge.

A memo from the show’s production company to residents and businesses at nearby Marina City said on Friday that State Street will be “fully closed” from Wacker Drive north to Kinzie Street from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Access through the area will be allowed “with police supervision” but you may experience brief delays.

Additionally, there will be no parking, from 2 a.m. until midnight, on Kinzie Street from Wabash Avenue to Dearborn Street and on Dearborn between Hubbard Street and the Chicago River.
