Police investigating possible fall from Marina Towers

June 24, 2012 – Chicago police are not confirming it, but witnesses believe someone fell from the west tower of Marina City on Sunday morning.

At 10:31 a.m., a man was found lying dead in the 300 block of North Dearborn Street, closest to the Marina City side of the block. The body remained in the street near a crosswalk, covered by a white sheet, for at least two more hours. A stretch of Dearborn from the bridge to the entrance to Marina City was closed until about 2 p.m.

A police spokesperson would not confirm it was a suicide but said, “that sounds accurate.”
