New faces among MC commercial tenants

February 12, 2010 – Management has shuffled at three Marina City commercial tenants. At Dick’s Last Resort, Gabe Nicolella has been named Director of Operations. He will oversee operations from company headquarters in Dallas.

Nicolella was previously General Manager of the Dick’s Last Resort in San Diego.

Former news reporter and columnist Pasha Krise is now Marketing Director for Dick’s Marina City location. Before moving to Chicago, she worked in public relations in New York and London, and was a newspaper reporter in Atlanta and Florida.

Meanwhile, Thompson Hotel Associates has brought in one of its own to manage Hotel Sax. Michael Carsch is now General Manager, taking over for Mario Mazzini, who had been with the hotel for two years.

Michael Carsch Carsch (left) started on December 1. He was previously the General Manager of Thompson Beverly Hills, and The Ritz-Carlton in Key Biscayne, Florida, before that.

And Smith & Wollensky has a new General Manager. Regina Arendt replaces Patrick Norton, who is now General Manager at The Palm Restaurant. Arendt has been with Smith & Wollensky since it opened in 1998. She was promoted from Assistant Manager last August.
