June 19, 2013 – A survey of 1,100 singles in Chicago says River North is the “best neighborhood for going on a date.”

According to results released on Tuesday by Match.com, 30 percent of surveyed Chicago singles picked River North as the best place for a date. 18 percent selected Wicker Park and 17 percent chose Lincoln Park.

River North was also voted “the neighborhood with the hottest single residents,” with Lincoln Park coming in second.

Favorite things to do on a date, says the survey, include going to a neighborhood street festival, picnicking at Millennium Park, and an evening of dinner and bar-hopping on Rush Street.

Founded in 1995, Match.com says it is the world’s largest dating site.
