September 10, 2010 – (Above) Members of The Dance COLEctive perform a modern dance Friday they say was inspired by the Chicago River. The 15-minute work, “In Your Space,” started on the north side of the Chicago River near Trump International Hotel & Tower and concluded on the Riverwalk in front of McCormick Bridgehouse & Chicago River Museum.

Formed in 1996, the troupe features site-specific work as part of its annual repertoire. This is their second production for Friends of the Chicago River. The dance will be performed again on Saturday at 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. (Click on image to view larger version.)
